Syracuse Museums
The Everson, Museum of Art was the only museum of its time to declare that its collections would consist solely of American art. This decision was made in 1911 and since then the Everson has gathered a permanent collection of 8,000 original works. These include 19th century paintings, American impressionist works, and tonalist pieces from the early 20th century, and ceramics. The collections are still ebing added to.
